Services for Professionals

I’m an occupational therapy consultant with a passion for mentoring the professionals who make a difference every day, teachers, education assistants, therapists, and anyone working to support children with complex needs. My goal is to equip, inspire, and walk alongside you so you can feel confident, creative, and deeply connected in your work.

I believe that learning is meant to be shared. Whether through professional development, my work with the Global Mentorship Alliance, or rich, real-world conversations, I draw on personal, professional, and cultural experiences, as well as my years of clinical practice, to offer practical strategies, fresh perspectives, and renewed energy for even the most challenging cases.

Mentorship with me is never one-size-fits-all. It might look like joint visits, observations, collaborative assessment and treatment planning, or case-by-case consultation. It’s about meeting you where you are, in person or virtually, and creating a safe space where you feel understood, supported, and free to grow. We’ll explore ideas, problem-solve together, reframe challenges, and celebrate every win along the way.

I listen with intention, reflect with clarity, and pose thoughtful questions to strengthen clinical reasoning in real time. Using intuition, attunement, and a deep understanding of complex kids, I help you refine your skills, broaden your toolkit, and build lasting confidence. My focus is on consistent, collaborative, growth-oriented time together, always starting from your current strengths.

There is nothing better than hearing the excitement in your voice when you’ve tried something new and seen success, or watching you connect with your kids on a deeper level and seeing those relationships flourish. That’s why I do this work: to support you, celebrate with you, and help you keep thriving, professionally and personally.

Mentorship

Mentorship has been a cornerstone of my own growth, personally and professionally. Sometimes all it takes is a fresh perspective to spark new ideas and move forward. I can work with you to brainstorm treatment approaches, develop assessment or intervention plans, or simply talk through a challenging situation to help you see it from a new angle.

Testimonials

I’ve had the privilege of learning from and collaborating with Clare over the past couple of years, and her depth of knowledge in pediatric mental health, sensory integration, and family dynamics continues to impress me. She has an intuitive ability to attune to children and families in a way that feels both natural and profoundly impactful.

Clare has observed several of my sessions, and each time, her feedback has offered me meaningful insights that have shaped and sharpened my clinical lens. She listens with intention, reflects with clarity, and poses thoughtful questions that challenge me to expand my clinical reasoning in real time. Her mentorship is consistently supportive, collaborative, and growth-oriented.

Whether you’re seeking guidance, consultation, or simply someone who deeply understands this work, I cannot recommend Clare highly enough.

~ Christi Shelley - OTR

I’ve had the privilege of many rich conversations with my colleague, Clare, about strategies and skills for supporting kids in the pediatric setting—especially those on the autism spectrum. Clare brings exceptional insight, practical strategies, and a wealth of resources to every discussion. Her compassion, attunement, and therapeutic skill are rare, and her ability to connect with and understand complex kids is truly remarkable. I’ve found her guidance invaluable in processing challenges, exploring ideas, and refining my own approaches with the children I work with. Clare is not only an excellent resource but also a mentor whose depth of understanding and commitment to connection make her contributions both unique and highly valuable.

Clare has been a wonderful asset since coming to our school. She goes above and beyond and is wholeheartedly involved with the students. As a teacher, I rely on her expertise and seemingly unlimited strategies that she tailors to each individual student. Her scope of expertise reaches beyond her OT skills and she works with both the student and the teacher to help everyone be successful. She collaborates and takes feedback into consideration to have a team approach and will adjust strategies and programs as needed. Most importantly, she cares!! The best interest of each child is always front and centre of her approach. Her knowledge and suggestions have been extremely helpful and it’s always a pleasure to see her smiling face pop into our classroom.

~ Christine Littman - Teacher

Having the opportunity to work alongside Clare has been an incredible blessing. Her professionalism is matched only by the genuine compassion she shows for every client. I collaborated closely with Clare as she worked with several of my students, and the progress they made under her care still moves me deeply to this day. Clare pours her heart and soul into her work, and having her support my students was truly a gift. The impact she made on their lives, in such a short time, was nothing short of inspiring and life-changing.

~ Miranda Matthews - Teacher

Working along side with Clare has been such a beneficial experience. I work with children who typically present behaviors, influenced by Fasd, autisim, ODD ect.

Since working with Clare I have gained an extended knowledge beyond the "life skills" level of support. Clare is able to paint clear pictures on how to support and establish a stronger connection with our children. Her positive energy makes it easy to seek help when in doubt and feel successful when executing new approaches. Working with Clare has been fun, meaningful and educational. I am thankful to have had the opportunity to work with her in my field and appreciate the passion she brings along.

~ M.Ball - Educational Assistant

Clare provided support at our school to so many students, Educational Assistants and teachers. Her knowledge and skill set has been an asset to so many children in our school. She doesn’t hesitate to offer support to students and staff not only with her knowledge and skills but with physical supports as well. If she does’t have the tools for the job, she is quick to locate or supply items that help support the student sin our classrooms. It could be simple fidgets, flexible seating, or any number of ideas to support a students needs. Clare has been a valuable addition to our school not only for the students but the staff as well. When our students are supported, we feel supported, heard and valued.
